This year’s graduation will be held on June 1, 2023, under a tent on the Greenfield Community College lawn. Please join us for a ceremony at 5 pm with a reception to follow.
Your hosts:
This event is co-hosted by The Literacy Project and Greenfield Community College.
Who it’s for:
This is a celebration for graduates of The Literacy Project, GED or HiSET graduates who tested at GCC, and any other High School Equivalency graduates in our region.
If you earned your GED or HSET in the past year, you are welcome! We want to celebrate you!
Registration:
You must register to participate in the graduation! Contact Janet Gary, janet@literacyproject.org, to sign up. There is no cost to participating.
Guests:
You are welcome to invite as many guests as you like! They do not need to pre-register, and guests do not need a ticket.
Caps and Gowns:
We will provide a cap and gown for each graduate to use during the ceremony. You’ll keep the tassel but return the cap and gown at the end of the festivities. If you want to decorate your own cap, you can order one at Graduation Outlet.
Arrival Time:
Grads should arrive no later than 4 pm to collect your cap and gown and have a photo taken.
Photography:
We’ll have a professional photographer taking pictures of each graduate. These photos will be provided to the graduates and their families at no charge.
Reception:
We will have snacks and refreshments immediately after the ceremony. Please join us!
