Information about the GED and HiSET

Massachusetts now offers two tests to demonstrate high school equivalency: the GED and the HiSET.  

The Literacy Project prepares adults to take the high school equivalency exam, but we do not offer the test ourselves. 

The tests are offered at the local community colleges:

• Greenfield Community College

• Holyoke Community College

• Springfield Technical Community College

• Mount Wachusett Community College, and

• Quinsigamond Community College

Talk to your classroom teacher or advisor about how to register for the test and how to get assistance paying for it.
