Dani Filth

Dani Filth’s original name was Daniel Davey but he legally changed it to Dani Filth. Dani in Hebrew means "bereft of God." He is the lead singer of the greatest black/goth metal band ever to erupt for the bowls of the earth, called Cradle of Filth. Dani was born on July 25, 1973 in North West London. He is not yet married, but has a girlfriend named Toni, and a daughter called Luna. He now resides in Hadleigh, a small village in Suffolk, England, with his girlfriend, daughter, and three cats, Lilith, Mushka and Rumble

Among the band’s achievements include no less then ten studio albums, including “Dusk… And Her Embrace”, “From the Cradle to Enslave”, and “Damnation and a Day.” More recently, Dani “loaned” his voice to the main character in an animated movie called “Dominator.” “Dominator” is being shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May and will appear very soon on the Sci Fi Channel. Cradle has been defiling the minds of the innocent since their first cd release, “The Principal of Evil Made Flesh” in 1994.

Dani is driven by madness and the hate of all things good. In his words,”I f*&@#ing hate arrogance, no correct that…. i f*@#ing hate people, vast mindless herds of people, usually around Christmas time or rush hour.”
Patience is not one of his virtues.

“Litter, concrete urbanization, lack of vision,
religious strangleholds and TV stereotyping …. Hate them all.”

These statements go to prove that Dani will not accept what the world expects him to be. He is true to himself and does not deviate form his core being.

His music is enchanting it seems to just pull you in for a quick ride. You may think I was dropped on my head as a kid well guess what your rite I was. And I am still paying for it. I love music my music. Dani speaks in a tongue that, well, in a sense kills your soul, but don’t worry it’s like being reborn. It will change you every time. The band is extremely persistent the lyrics, drums
& three guitars all roaming at the same time. It’s my kind of music.
