Domestic Violence Month (October 2003) brings the Silent Witness Project to Ware. Learners researched the lives and deaths of all victims of partner abuse and wrote brief biographies about these people. They also wrote a program for our window display. There was a public vigil where about thirty people attended. We also had an open house to raise awareness about the issues and solutions to ending domestic violence. Our Silent Witness Project was shared with Mary Lane Hospital where they displayed it in their lobby for five days. Students and community member's reflections about this project say more.
