Even Start Parents Participate in Nurturing
Program
The Nurturing Program helped us learn some new ideas on how to parent our children. This program started in October and lasted for 18-20 weeks. We did crafts, games, and readings along with discussions. Our children were watched by the Even Start Childcare staff.
The Nurturing Program is to teach young and older mothers or fathers about different ways to handle situations and how to bond with your child. Personally I felt good about the Nurturing Program because I learned a way to relax my 7 month old daughter. It is called a baby massage, and I knew nothing about it until I signed up for this program. This program also taught me how to potty train my niece, who is between 3 and 4. The Nurturing Program is fun and fascinating, and I enjoyed doing it.
