Lesson 1:  GED Connection Orientation

 

Introduction

 

In this lesson, you will learn about the five test areas:  writing, reading, social studies, science, and math. You will also be introduced to the GED Connection components:  39 videos, 3 workbooks, and online activities.

 

Objectives

 

When you complete this lesson you will:

  • Be exposed to the purpose of GED Connection materials.
  • Get an overview of the video, workbook, and online components.
  • See why students, graduates, and instructors who have used GED Connection have been successful. 

 

Learning Activities

 

  1. Workbook:  Read page v-vi about the GED Connection program.  Preview the features of the workbook.

 

  1. Video:  Watch Program 1 about the GED Test and the GED Connection system. As you watch, think about how the videos, workbooks, and online materials can help you study to pass the GED.

 

  1. Internet:  Register for a Home Space at http://litlink.ket.org/.  Your online instructor is Sharon Feeney.
