Ready for Algebra Card Game

Each group (2 to four players; one or two players on a team) receives a deck of cards.

Each player is dealt seven cards.  The top card of the remaining deck is turned face up, and placed next to the deck.  This becomes the discard pile.  Players take turns drawing a card from the deck or taking the top card in the discard pile.  In each round, the player must lay down matching pairs and then discard one card.

The game ends when a player runs out of cards.  The winner is the first person (or team) to discard all of his or her pairs of cards.  Each player (or team of players) receives ten points for each pair.  The winner gets one additional point for each card remaining in each opponent’s hand.
