Lesson Objectives: To better understand the technical writing issues of grammar, organization, development, details, and word choice.
Lesson Procedure: 1) Give learners writing sample to read silently. Mark the writing with corrections for spelling, grammar, and word choices initially. Then go over it again looking for organization, development, and details of the content.
2) Discuss findings in groups or as a class. (It is always interesting to see the common findings and what few point out.)
3) Brainstorm many possible editions of words, complete sentences or thoughts to help learners become aware of different writing styles and language usage.
