Important Biographical Facts:

He failed his Electrical Engineer exam

He imagined himself becoming a teacher in branches of Natural Sciences

In 1939 he wrote to Franklin Roosevelt warning that Germany might construct nuclear weapons.

Important Scientific Accomplishments and Discoveries

Special Theory of Relativity

He used the equation E=mc2 to show mass and energy are equivalent.

He helped develop Quantum Theory

It states that electromagnetic radiation traveled as tiny
packets of energy called quanta, or photons,
that behaved like particles.

He found the cause of  Brownian Motion

Brownian motion is the incessant movement of very
fine dust particles in water.  Einstein discovered that this was caused by the movement of the water molecules

General Theory of Relativity

This theory involves acceleration, space/time, and the way gravity interacts with space/time.

He tried to develop a Unified Theory

This theory would unify the four known interactions, or forces—the strong, electromagnetic, weak, and gravitational forces—by a simple set of general laws. Nobody has done this yet.
