Public Policy Hero: Roger was one of two learners at the Charboneau Learning Center who managed to send postcards to every single Senator and Representative in the Massachusetts State Legislature. He also took the lead in making phone calls. Thanks to his efforts and to learners like him all across the Commonwealth, the Adult Basic Education system in Massachusetts has suffered only 7% in cuts so far during this ongoing budget crisis. We are hoping that Roger and his peers will maintain there courage and their efforts in the months ahead as the fiscal/economic situation develops.
