I think poverty is both individual and collective responsibility. This is because as an individual you should be working. As an individual it is your responsibility to find help if you need it. There are lots of agencies out there. Also use the agency for help. Use it. Don’t abuse it.

I also feel that poverty is collective responsibility. This is because I feel that the government can do more for those in need. They can also hold a free meal once a week, or something to that effect.

I remember as a young child my mother was o welfare an even with the help we got we would barely get by. My mother would stretch her food stamps as far as she could, but it often was not enough. I think it would help a lot of people if the government would hold a free meal once a week for those in need. This is because that would be one less meal they have to worry about. This is just how I feel. How do you feel about this problem?
