                      Definitions:

                    N.  Happenstance; A circumstance that is due to chance or luck.

                          My first job opportunity seemed to have as much to do with happenstance as with my ambition.

                     

                    N. Mantra; A phrase you say over and over.

                         When I get overwhelmed I repeat my personal mantra.

 

                    N. Fodder; Inferior or readily available material used to supply a heavy demand.

                         The better fodder you feed your cows the better your milk will be.

 

                    N. Plight; to put or give in pledge.

                         In going to A.A I plight not to drink. (Not usually used as a verb.)

 

                    V. Garner; Something that’s collected.

                           Every year the state garners your taxes.

                      

                    V. Veiled: to cover or hide something.

                           She with veiled her last name.

 

                    V.  Forestall: to delay, or think beforehand

                           She tried very hard to forestall us before going to the mall.

                    

                          Aquiver: to shake, or quiver

                           The children were aquiver with anticipation the day before Halloween. (Used as an adj.)    

 

                          Tumultuously: to be out of control.

                            The crowd was tumultuously during the concert. (Used as an adj.)
