Did a crossword puzzle and read a couple of current event articles from "News For You."

 

Based on discussions with students in class, we began some work on maps…how to read them,

kinds of maps, what makes a map, etc. We will be tying map

work in with our US history work.

Started working on packet of history/geography worksheet packets. Worked on a crossword

puzzle and read a couple articles in New For You paper. Discussed nation of Montenegro

becoming independent of Serbia.

Worked together as a group on the history/geography packet. Did some Famous Americans

biographical questions, a couple of map exercises  dealing with specific parts of a map such as

compass rose, scale, directions, etc.

Group work in Science packet. Some crossword puzzles dealing with the body and circulatory

system. Good review for  the reading we have been doing in the Science book.

Worked on a crossword puzzle. Did some current event activities. Watched the video "Shadow

of Hate" to have fresh overview of events of intolerance in this country to aid in the constructing

 of a timeline.
