Writing:  One student started writing out word problems involving measurements. The other

posted his essay into Moodle, and then worked on adapting one of his body paragraphs to be a

letter to the editor.

Math: Making up and solving word problems with measurements.

A visit from GCC officials.

Jeanne Boucias from the testing office and Sarah Sarchilli talked about the testing and other

requirements for admissions to GCC.  They answered questions and helped people understand

that people are willing to help them get prepared.

         MATHEMATICS - Perform basic computations; approach practical problems by choosing from a variety of math techniques

Math - Making up word problems, checking them, and putting them into Moodle.  The word

problems all involved measurments and conversions.
