Individual Writing: Everybody had
their own project. A few new people got
prompts from the
instructor. One person finished
her November writing project (started last month) on the Great
Depression and moved into some research about Franklin Roosevelt. One
person did GED
pretesting, and another did College Math.

Writing Strategies.
One way of thinking about an essay is as 3 separate (but related)
paragraphs. Adding an
introduction and a conclusion help the reader see how these paragraphs work together to
present the writer's personal viewpoint.
(Most of the class was spent in individual endeavors - mostly writing.)
