Worked on decimal and fraction conversions. /did a little practice on decimal place values.

Decide on an animal, discuss their environment, adaptations, location,  habitat,  eating habits.

Went over the math worksheets on solving for the percent.

 

Practiced decimal place values and writing decimals and identifying place values.

Did some readings about the Civil War…The Compromise of 1820, compared the maps of slave

 states and non slave states from 1820-1850.

Started working in the Connections Science book. Covered a couple chapters on cells and cell

structure. Gave class some "vocabulary journals" to track their word lists. Discussed what a

hypothesis is and class came up with a few as examples to demonstrate their understanding.

Class will work on first four chapters for homework. Creating word lists and definitions and
