solve equation and then write
the words for the numbers in the
crossword puzzle. Focus was to help with number facts and spelling.
Students did a writing exercise
answering questions about their feelings and attitudes about math.

Worked on several order of events/sequencing activities. Students were
able to pick out words that
were key words in figuring out the sequences in a passage. Explained to
class that this exercise is
practice for pre essay writing.
Overall class went well and everyone was engaged in the various
activities after the initial grumbling.
