We talked more about the

People wrote on the topic

or the country's?, and What are the most important considerations/
issues).
People explained their
answers while making a long list of issues and considerations.
Then people had more time
to write to identify the most important question (either for choosing a new
president or something they
want to learn.
Then Migdalia read a poem

The
"Executive Branch" and "nouns".
People read an article from
a history textbook describing the powers of the President of the United
States. Many of the nouns were blanked out and they
had to read and reread carefully and work
together as a group to
figure it out and fill in the blanks.
Some people chose to try it on their own, but
they were less
successful. Others had TABES or
pretests to work on and one chose to work on her own
writing.
