Teacher’s Page

My name is Michelle. I teach the class here at the Amherst Adult Learning Center. I have been a teacher here since 2001. Probably like your teacher, Brunie, I help learners here improve their reading and writing in English and get ready for the GED test.

I am 34 years old and I live in Northampton, Massachusetts with my cat, Stinky (I didn’t give him that name, the original owners did.) I also have a boyfriend named Mike who is also very nice.

When I am not teaching, I have many interests: I play the drums, sometimes for a band. I am also a disc jockey, but not the kind you hear on the radio. I am the kind of disc jockey who plays my turntables like a musical instrument. My dreams are to someday buy a house, travel the world, learn many languages, and maybe get my Masters’ degree in education.
